On the way to becoming an agile organization with a high degree of digitalization, Clausthal University of Technology faces a variety of challenges. Due to the increasing dynamics of the university as an organizational form and internal development as well as external influences, Clausthal University of Technology is in a constant state of change. The necessary "change management" makes organizational development (OD) indispensable, which we deal with in a structured manner in the OD staff unit.
Our aim is to support various units at Clausthal University of Technology in their change processes in the future. We see ourselves as a service-oriented point of contact for both the university as a whole and the individual organizational units. Our focus will be particularly on the sustainability and compatibility of future-oriented changes as well as on agile project management .
One focus of the further development of the organization is also the creation, content design and coordination of service agreements with the HR department, the university management, the staff council and, if necessary, other parties involved. As binding agreements (public law contracts with normative character), these service agreements create directly applicable law, which we want to tailor as precisely as possible to our university.
The tasks of the OU staff unit also include creating and maintaining the organizational chart as well as coordinating, advising and drafting the Executive Board's resolutions on organizational changes.
We also include personnel development in the area of OU; in particular, the OU staff unit is responsible for personnel development for technical and administrative staff. We work closely with the colleagues responsible for HR development in science(here).
With its diverse tasks, Clausthal University of Technology places numerous demands on all its employees, including its managers. A common understanding of leadership should provide support here. The Clausthal University of Technology's leadership guidelines provide the basis for this.
