In the case of accidents insured by the state accident insurance fund, an accident doctor must be consulted promptly - if possible within 3 days - after the accident (see notification of employee accidents). The nearest one is located at Clausthal-Zellerfeld Hospital.

Even though Clausthal is a relatively small town, it has a large number of well-stocked supermarkets from well-known chains. You will find these supermarkets at Ostbahnhof, at the exit to Goslar and in Osteröder Straße. In the city center along Adolph-Roemer-Straße, there is a row of different stores. There you will find pretty much everything you need for everyday life.
In the Zellerfeld district, the traditional mountain farmers' market is open every Thursday evening from May to October, offering typical Harz delicacies, entertainment, souvenirs and music.
The canteen offers students and members of the university good quality food and drink at reasonable prices every day. There is a choice of salads, soups, vegetarian dishes as well as meat and fish dishes.
The university store stocks a wide range of TU Clausthal merchandising items: from T-shirts and lanyards to ballpoint pens.

In the event of illness, you are obliged to inform your line manager immediately of your incapacity for work and its expected duration. If the incapacity to work lasts longer than three calendar days, you must provide your superior with a medical certificate confirming the existence of the incapacity to work and its expected duration on the following working day at the latest. If the incapacity for work lasts longer than stated in the certificate, a new medical certificate must be submitted.
The supervisor or the secretariat must be notified immediately of the employee's return to work. The employee fills out the form "Notification and proof of incapacity for work" (in the forms system) and submits it to the supervisor for signature. The form is then forwarded to the HR department.

There are also usually representatives for the study portal in the institutes who are authorized to book seminar rooms and lecture halls for courses, exams or meetings. If necessary, ask your institute who is responsible for this role.
In the study portal, you can search for rooms under the menu item "Rooms and buildings" and view the room occupancy without being logged in. This allows you to check whether the room is available for your desired date before contacting the study portal support or the study portal representatives of the institutes.
Meeting rooms in the main building can be booked via the Outlook calendar.
